A handful of clubs in and near Mexico City organise games that count for rating. El Peón Molesto runs rated blitz in Roma Norte and a long string of themed events in cafés and bars; the official club of Coyoacán has held a run of tournaments in the borough; the Club Anáhuac of the Universidad Anáhuac México Norte in Huixquilucan hosts the university’s FIDE circuits; and LudiChess, a club and academy in the Interlomas zone, marked its second anniversary with a rated tournament.

Time control, entry fee and the body that rates the games are set in each call for entries, so the club’s own call is the place to read them. Rated evenings also happen away from club rooms: the themed FIDE nights at Casa Rosa in Venustiano Carranza are run by the president of Ajedrez Salida, and Casa Rosa is listed among the places to play.
