Chess classes and schools in Mexico City 8

More on this list

The fullest teaching timetable in Mexico City belongs to ESNAJ, the Escuela Nacional de Ajedrez, which publishes group classes by level and a price list for three branches in the south-west of the city: San Pedro de los Pinos, Pedregal and Las Águilas. Classes run on weekday afternoons and on Saturday mornings, and the school asks students to book a place by WhatsApp before coming.

Elsewhere, teaching is woven into clubs and schools. Chess for Life runs a school league whose stages are played on campuses in the west and north of the metropolitan area; LudiChess teaches groups, in person and online, from Interlomas; the Punto de Encuentro school and club works in Valle de Chalco; and the Biblioteca de México has kept a chess workshop going for decades. The Lobo Mexicano academy appears only on the association’s club roster. Outside ESNAJ, fees are almost never published, so ask before enrolling.
